Dr. Maria Simou is an obstetrician-gynecologist and a graduate of the University of Athens, specializing in fetal medicine. She completed her training at King’s College Hospital in London as well as in other fetal medicine departments at hospitals and research centers affiliated with the Fetal Medicine Foundation, serving as a Research Fellow in Fetal Medicine, while also working as an associate of Professor Kypros Nikolaidis at the private Fetal Medicine Center in London. He pursued further specialization and training in intrauterine procedures and the management of complications in monochorionic twins, with ongoing training at various centers abroad.
Since 2014, he has operated a fetal medicine center in Athens, where he performs all the ultrasounds and intrauterine procedures required during pregnancy, treating the full range of fetal conditions and abnormalities that may arise at any stage of pregnancy.
She is a research associate at the First Department of Obstetrics at the University of Athens’ Alexandra Hospital, in the Department of Fetal Diagnosis and Laser Applications at the University of Athens, and runs the twin clinic in the Department of Fetal Medicine at IASO Maternity Hospital.
